Crew

The other five people at your race get the plan too

Crewing an ultra is a job. Right now it is done off a spreadsheet nobody has open and a WhatsApp group at three in the morning.

A short code, and they are in

No Absorb account, nothing to install, nothing to pay. They pick a name and a password and they are looking at your race.

A crew member is never a customer, and never has to become one.

What they get

01

Every stop in course order, including where to park

Down to a what3words square, with the cutoff, which drop bag is there, and the forecast for the hour you are expected.

02

Exactly what to hand you, written by you

Per stop. Plus your own note for that stop, so nobody has to interpret a text message sent eleven hours earlier.

03

Tick you through one checkpoint and every earlier one clears

Nobody has to remember where you were an hour ago. The next stop becomes the default view.

04

It still reads in a valley with no signal

One button saves the whole race to their phone before the start. Deliberate, not something they have to hope happened.

05

They see that race and nothing else

Not your training, your patterns, your other races, your email or your name. Enforced on the server on every request, not just hidden in the interface.

Next: why you should believe any of this

Be there when it opens

Absorb is not open yet. Leave your email and we will tell you on the day it is.

Two emails at most: when it opens, and about the founding places.

For people aged 16 or over. We store your address and the date you agreed, and nothing else.
